Currently my website doesn't rank highly for the keyword "myspace layout" and the domain name is brand new. If i purchased a 5yo domain name that had 20,000backlinks in google,and used this domain name with my website,will my site be between the 1st-10th page of google search results? Because the first results for "myspace layout" only has about 6000backlinks in google.

Even this is true, links from same niche domains will be optimum, any quality link will do the job Just avoid the sites google hates : link farms, warez, spam, mlm, adult...
