Buying Celebrity Domain Names???

I have recently purchased the firstname-lastname.net domain for an individual who is relatively popular and could become quite famous in the near future. I have two questions:

    1) Am I legally allowed to own this domain name?
    2) Am I allowed to create a fan site for this individual is there is a disclaimer saying that it is not actually affiliated with him/her?

    Thanks for the help!

    Regards,
    Curtis

There are possible cybersquatting - trademark issues. A lot is going to depend on the actual name and how it is used. A fan site can make an argument for usage - but those rights go away if it is commercial in nature (takes in any revenue, including advertising or donations). Of course if they decided to sue you, you probably don't want to spend a few hundred thousand in a lawsuit to argue about your right to keep the domain.
