I own a website called The Order of Men which is a Men's discussion forum promoting camaraderie and fellowship for men while highlighting true heroes of men to show example. I'm running out of ideas to get people to my site and sign up. Right now I get about 150-200 visitors a day with very little sign ups. Have been up and running for 6 months now and looking to give it a boost before we lose anymore members. Anyone have any ideas where I should look to buy banner ads or text ads? Anyone have success with any sites? Not really looking to spend more then 100 dollars as my site does not bring any money in right now. Right now, my main source of visitors in through google, links in other forums, and word of mouth. If you have any other ideas to keep my forum from dieing, I'm all ears. Look forward to hearing from you, Mike http://www.orderofmen.com
Men don't go anywhere without women. Start advertising to get more women members. We're more opinionated anyway.
Start a budget and use search marketing. You might have a niche that is not saturated just yet (well, maybe until hundreds of webmasters see this thread...LOL). Seriously though- Get yourself a search marketing coupon and play with house money for a bit and see how it goes.
appreciate you responding back to me Any other advnice? any ideas of particular websites/forums I try and advertise on?
Project wonderful will serve banner ads on many sites for a few cents per day. It could be worth having a look at in your case.
I wouldnt know how to get people to signup, but go get traffic to ur site compulsory registration to comment is not a gr8 idea. I have seen some VB board that allows guest to comment with a capatcha system ( gr8 way to keep SPAM comments down ). I also believe there is an Easy registration hack fo VB which allows users to provide email id and username of choice, password when they try to comment . so they dont have have to fill out the rather huge registration form , which most people hate Good Luck
Thats what i think he means about fixing your site. personally i read some of the content and its pretty good. i also agree with having daily content to attract more members.
