    what are the dos and don'ts of acquiring a domain with a good PR?

    for example, I buy a PR4 domain, keep it on the same registrar then point it to my server and install a new script and start adding content. is that going to reset it back to PR0 / PR N/A ? What has to be done to keep the Pagerank the same and what things should i not do?

    :confused::confused:
    thankyou for any responses!

    This could be quite complex. My advice is don't worry about the PR, just offer a great website and the people will come back and word will get around.

    No it will not affect the PR for the time being.
    But if you still want to preserve the PR or well said increase the PR further,then you should do something such as putting more unique content and building more quality link.

    Ranking is based on the domain's SEO. So transferring will not effect on tanking. But almost sellers having high PR means they done good SEO for their site. So after buying the buyer did not continue will be problem, and for the next update all the rank will go
