    If someone is trying to sell a high-cost domain (in the thousands), what's a safe way for them to sell it online? I would assume that any purchase that large would need some sort of contract or solid agreement. I dont think that paypal would cover that sort of transaction in fraud cover.

    Any info?

    escrow.com is good, moneybookers.com has their own cheaper version also.
    For large transactions, don't accept payment by anything someone can reverse easily (like paypal). I've always used bank wires for $1k++ transactions.

    Whether you use escrow, or another third party, it is important to agree on the terms (payment, cancellation, remedies if default, etc.) including who is responsible for the fees (or the percentage each party pays). And do not accept money orders (many counterfeits) or Western Union-type payments.

    Escrow.com (said 10 times) has a special services for domains unlike several other escrow services. They would probably be the best choice for you.
