Have you ever used SitePoint.com for buying and selling domains?
I have a lot of friends that are extremely satisfied with the results SitePoint.com provides!

Can you please be more specific as regards to what domain names they've had success with and for what price?

I've never bought through there, but I have through many other sites. Looking on DP (One of the world's biggest internet forum) can help you find the domain you're looking for.

DP may be a good place for buyers but not for sellers - in general forums not good for sellers.

That makes no sense, if forums are good for buyers (who are buying a domain from the seller), but the sellers get nothing, the domains, by your logic, magically push themselves.

In fact it makes a lot of sense - it means the buyers get their stuff very cheaply and the sellers get a lot less money that they should have - I thought that was pretty obvious in my first statement.

Clearly it wasn't because we wouldn't be having this debate.
Either way, you make a good point.

Another way of looking at it is that most people on forums are dealers and you don't want to sell anything to dealers - have you ever tried to sell your car to a dealer? Well, if you have, you must have noticed you would get at least 30% less from a dealer. I won't even bother with forums. May be once you want to watch the auctions at NamePros and see how shrewd the buyers are.
