I have just purchased a domain name that is related to the products i sell online.

This domain names is not index in any of the search engines and had not been renewed

This domain name is 6 years old. While me current domain name and site is only 10 months old.

I have got loads of good links to my current domain name including one way, loads of articles and exchages.

If change to this new domain and do a 301 redirect from my current one will all the links etc pass to the new one.

Is this a good way of doing things.

i am currently doing very well in the all serps haveing serval NO 1 s in MSN and Yahoo.

I'm in the UK and Goolge accounts for 75% of all searches over here.

I am looking at this from a site age point of view as the sites in google for my keywords in the top 4 are all sites at least 4 years old.

First, find out why it is not listed in Google. Verify it is NOT a banned domain. This is very very important. Because it could lead your other site also get listed in ban list.

If not, do not worry just a domain will never list in Google. There must be a related site.

I think that since Google became a registrar expired domains have become pretty useless in terms of age, since google treats them as new.
