im thinking about buying alot of .info domains and putting up a few fake pages with info ( optimized to my keyphrase) and letting them sit for say 3-6 months to go through sandbox mode. Im talking about buying say 15 .info domains for keyword phrases I choose to have decent traffic/low comp etc. Anyone ever done this here?

Well, your sites do not get out of sandbox automatically by letting them sit for 3-6 months. You have keep on adding new content and also new backlinks. This is what will get your site out, otherwise your site will be sitting there forever :)

I like to install wordpress and make a few posts about my plans for the domain. That automatically uses the right key words. It also makes it easy to go back every once in a while and update things.

it's the links that need aging, and also the content and themes.
I bought a domain that was topical for a very competitive phrase. It ranks 30 odd and I have't optomised it yet, or added a single link.

MHDoc that's a great idea in regard to installing Wordpress and throwing a few posts out there. Sure it doesn't help with the IBLs but it's a great start. Thanks for the tip.

Well, he doesn't have time to deal with a bunch of .infos every day, he wants to stick some content on the domains and let them start ripening. I think there's some merit to the idea - I've done it myself. Put links to your other sites on them so those can start being counted.

This method worked allright in the past, but these days you can't really predict what's gonna happen in 6 months. But the investment is minimal and so is the risk.

Sounds like a good idea... but are you just going to sell the domains afterwords? Not very creative, but could work :) lol
