I have a new site that is 2 week old . Can I buy a cheap , unrelated PR 2-3 domain and redirect it to my new site so that Google see my new site as an "old site" ? Need to get out of sandbox asap. Is this recommended?. Thanks
Nah, and if you have already bought them, i'd use them for related websites to backlink. Changing your domain like that will only cause b/s confusion, and you never know what type of gimmicks google has behind the scenes to penalize you.
I recent purchased a 5 year old domain name that has not been active for a while. I put up a new site, and have submitted to most major search engines, including google. Can i avoid the sandbox?
@petemurray Yes, may be old domain avoid SAND BOX effect. whats you experience just let me inform please!
The sandbox effect is more serious for new sites on new domains, so if you buy old or expired domains and launch your new site there, you'll experience less problems.
Buying old domain with established PR is wise decision (if & only if) the domain is identical to the topic of the site that you are going to establish... otherwise it can also suffer the sandbox effect easily.
just bought a 6 years old pr3 site and 301 redirect it to my new site. When is my new site PR get updated?. I should expect PR of 3 for my new site, correct?
