I have a friend or 2 who may be interested in investing some money for me to advertise one of my affiliate campaigns using adbrite. I havent picked out any particular adbrite site that i want to use yet, but i see some of them charging 1500 for a one week advertisement, but you get about 35k clicks. My question is this... In one of my affiliate campaigns, i have had last week, 392 clicks, but 205 of those clicks were leads. Thats about 50%.. Would it be risky for me to allow a friend to invest some $ in this and end up not getting good results from adbrite? I have never done this before. I am nervous but i have to learn somehow
Same as everything, there are good sites, bad sites, sites that work for you, and those that don't. Trial and error is the only way to find out.
Buy the smallest denomination you can on a site first to see if it converts, this could be their CPC solution for instance. If it looks good then do a full campaign with them. Like the poster above said it is really just trial and error.
That was my idea, to buy maybe a day link first to see how it converted, i am just afraid of doing something wrong and losing someone elses $, that would NOT be a good thing, heh
It's their money, they are fully responsible for it. If they haven't educated themselves and are willing to risk money that's their problem, you're just the facilitator. Unless they're completely relying on you for the investment, in which case I hope you are getting a nice commission.
