In my opinion potential is overrated, the hard info is how much the website has made in 10 months, whether it's going up and how much work/money has been spent on the website. I see too many sites for sale saying how awesome the site's potential is and they want to place a value on that...then why didn't they develop it?

Use 10 months of revenue as your main rule.

10-24 is a big scale try more to the 10-15 times revenue...

    And the keyword is 'net'.
Will you buy a site making $1,000,000 gross/month for $10,000,000 if you need $999,999 expenses to get that million?

    Hi Codythebest,
I'm with you, had a friend (yes I did) his father died, he had a grass mowing company billing out half a million a yr. Wanted to sell and had company selling for him,and lawyer informed him that the company made this money BUT it was based on a contact, that may not be renewable. There fore all that was really for sale was the equipment!!!
    Thanks
