I have currently own three Clickbank products that I created myself. I am negotiating with another vendor who is interested in selling his website and product to me. For me, the price is a significant amount. I do think I can make a profit, but I am probably going to fork out a couple thousand dollars... which is why the process makes me a little nervous. I have never purchased a product or website before and I do have a few questions. If anyone here has been through the process before, I am wondering if you could help. 1. Would Clickbank be willing to transfer the username to me (so I don't lose his affiliates)? I emailed them, but have not received a response yet. 2. How to you transfer ownership and content of a website? 3. Do you recommend an escrow service? How much do they cost? How do they work? Thanks in advance for any and all replies. - Tim
Download files and database. Upload to your host, push domain to your account and change nameservers. And yeah, escrow protects both buyers and sellers.
Hey Tim, I have been through the process (as a seller) with an experienced buyer. To answer your questions. 1) Clickbank is good about account transfer. For us it was a simple as me giving him the username and password. He changed the payment info and then the email address (do it in that order...if you change the email address first, CB makes you wait a week before you change payee info). 2) We used an intellectual process contract purchased off of sitepoint. It cost either $50 or $100. The buyer paid for it since it was mostly to protect his interests. Non-compete, etc. I 3) Yes, I recommend using escrow.com...the fees were negligible, something like 1%. You can PM me for more details or any other questions if you'd like. Scotty
Just place a request to CB support, you will get reply within 2-3 business days. I don't think there will be any problem in the transfer of accounts.
No problem in cb, but those who want to sell their products, they would have 2 or more products under the same username, so they would dont want to transfer their username to you.
I do appreciate the help. Scotty, especially +rep. to you. You've answered my questions. If this thing works out and we come to an agreement, I may PM you with other questions, if you don't mind. Thanks!!!!
