Buying a Phone under Rs. 15000/-

hi there,

I have been searching a lot from the past 2 days for phones under 15k.

My requirements are...
TouchScreen (8/10)
Internet Browsing (9/10)
Camera (5/10)
Wifi (7/10)
FM & Music (7/10)

I have selected these phone.. but I am totally confused..

HTC Touch Viva
Nokia 5800
Nokia 5530

Now I am confused about these things.

HTC Touch Viva is Windows based and I kinda like that, because I have never used a Windows phone I want to try it once also as it email feature looked good to me.

Nokia is good, well made product. Been using Nokia ever since I got a mobile. But I don't know how is Nokia's touch screen phone....
Out of 5800 and 5530 I like the looks of 5530 a lot .. But I can't understand the difference between the both technically. I mean bith have Wifi. But after reading few descriptions on the net I think that 5530 has slow internet browsing or something..

Can you suggest me which one to go for from these 3 models. Also any ideas about the price.

Well, I have used HTC touch viva... Its good but I don't like it.
You can't use internet well as its a touch screen phone and consumes lot of time in typing..

And others you have selected are also not that much good.

Touchscreen is the worst thing !

You should go with Nokia N79.. 5 MP camera and everything superbly made into it.



Currently I am using N95 8GB just because I didn't liked the touch screen of HTC touch.

i have a diffrent opinion on it .. ,... perhaps it takes a little habit to get around touch screens!

ive had 2 touch screens a Moto Rokr, and then a LG Cookie, both were nice,... (though the ad of LG Cookie was better than phone itself!!! ... hot chik got me going )

this time i took a step aside and picked up a nokia E63, and i must say im impressed,... took me a while to get a hang of so many keys,...(after 2 touch screens, i just couldnt digest keys) but nice,... with the SIP native client (VoIP over wifi) is just great! talk to my family/ clients in US at local call rates.!!!

my advise would be ... any phone... but do a price coparison with eBay.in,... with competition around you just may get phone for a gr8 price. ... even when you sell your old phone!!!

My suggestion is Nokia 5800,it is the completly loaded phone.

 

I dont kinda like the N seriers by Nokia.. I have used N73 for 8 months.. so not a big fan of the Nokia N series..
Touch Screen will take sometime to get used to.. .

I also considered E63 and E71 .. but i dont like the looks.. I mean I am no CEO or corporate guy, to carry such a big phone..

Nokia 5800 looks kinda plastic..
Nokia 5530 got good looks when compared to 5800...

So I am still confused.. Nokia 5530 or HTC Touch Viva.

 

How about Samsung Star phone?

 

I don't like Samsung Star.
I saw the DEMO of the interface... I didn't liked it much....
Paying 1k more and I get HTC Touch Viva...

 

NOKIA 5800 Xpress is the best ever I would recommend
Its best TOUCH PHONE, I am using for few months now and happily satisfied

Because their touch UI is based on their normal keypad UI so its really easy to adjust and enjoy !

 

go for nokia 5800 has a good touch screen i have been using it from 2 months aprox. and i hated HTC Touch it looks good in the store but the truth is when u will bring it home u'll see it's poker face

I don`t really like Touch Phones. You have to be careful with them more than with the usual ones.

 

Touch phones are hopeless. You may as well call them punch phones because that's what it takes sometimes to hit the buttons

 

I like the N97 gor for it

 

so your price is under 15k then you must choose Nokia super nova.

 

just increase your range and you can get lg kc910 great phone...



i owe nokia n 79 and i love it though u dont but lg is too good i preffered it but my pocket was not enough for it he he he...

Well I know Nokia 5800 has got it all.. but stil I don't like it looks...
Nokia 5530 is much better....

I enquired here in Mumbai and it will take a week to reach here in markets...
Can anyone here give me a detailed and good comparison between Nokia 5530 and 5800.

 

touch phones are not for me.. but if u have made up your mind. its nokian all the way

 

I saw Nokia 5530 here in Mumbai... The model looks very good. But its not available with warranty here.
Street price is 11990/- w/o warranty.

Any one got ideas when it would be launched officially.

 

What is RS and how much is 15,000?

 

Don't go for Nokia 5800. Check out Samsung Jet. I think you'll have to increase your budget by 2-3k for Jet But it's worth it!
