Buying a monitor, have a few questions...

    So i've been looking at monitors lately, and before I buy one, i just need to be clear on a few things.

    First, does contrast ratio REALLY matter? Will you notice a difference between a 700:1 and a 3000:1 ?

    Second, in terms of DVI, DVI-D, HDMI inputs, does it really matter what i go if im just going to be using it for my computer (no xbox, ps3, etc)? I currently have a gtx280, and while it does have a HDMI output, am I really going to notice that big of a difference opposed to using a standard DVI ouput?
