Buying a domaine one page

    I want to buy a domaine from godaddy or somewhere else . But i want to know is hosting is necessary when you buy a domaine?
    how much would that cost me per year ?

    Hosting is not necessary when you buy a domain at GoDaddy, it is optional.

    Don't register a domain from Godaddy, it sucks! Name.com or ResellerClub are better (include awesome control panel).

    And you don't need to buy hosting at this time.

    Personally don't think godaddy is bad at all, however resellerclub is good as well a friend of mine uses them.

    I have also used godly without any problems for 12 years or so, I do not use the hosting from them though, egs in another basket so to speak

    Web hosting is not necessary for buying a domain. Just owning a domain name is like registering a business name in real, but not actually setting up the business. So if you don't do anything with domain, then basically its useless.

    To start with you may host you website for free at web host like awardspace, freehostia, etc.
