Buyer NOT paying my money

    Hi,

My name is Gowtham from INDIA. A person from USA purchased a digital good from my US PayPal account. Initially he paid me $175 and I delivered the content to him. PayPal limited my US account. So, I requested him to accept refund and asked him pay to my indian paypal account. He accepted for it. But now he is NOT responding to me when I requested to pay me. I know his gmail email address only. I send him many email requests top pay me. I warned him that I will complain to IC3, FBI and I have already sent an email complaint to my local crime complaint center, Hyderabad.

I know only his email address.

So how to get my money back. Because it's $175

please tell me any techniques how to resolve this issue. He paid me through paypal as non registered user. He paid using his bank account via paypal.

report to paypal.. i did this and paypal refunded me money and blocked the person's account so anytime you sell something via paypal you are safe as long as you speak to paypal reselution centre.

    Thank you very much sarhad12.

I want to ask one more thing. Does paypal accepts this reason that, before limiting my account the buyer paid me $175 and I delivered the content instantly (digitally delivered) since my account is limited so, I have only 2 chances.

    1. waiting for 6 months.
    2. refund the money to buyer.

I have chosen second option. I refunded the money back to buyer and my product is with him. Again I asked him to pay towards my indian paypal account.

Does really paypal accepts this reason?

How does paypal refund me again my money back as the buyer used his bank account to pay me. Does paypal believes me as if told that, I asked the buyer to pay me through another paypal account but he didn't pay me.

From a legal perspective, I can't see how PayPal could possibly help you. You were paid and issued a refund. Why would paypal now take that money and give it back to you without his consent.

One more thing is I had his gmail ID. Since every gmail is linked to a Phone number for password resetting purpose. Can I request my friend working at google maps to provide the confidential details like phone number. So, I can easily trace him.

You can request whatever you want. You friend would have to be dumber than dirt to give it to you and risk his job at Google in the process. Secondly, how does a phone number help you collect money? It is $175, lets get real, you are not suing him or anything else so either he pays you willingly or you get screwed.

I doubt your friend is actually able to view private information.

    Google takes privacy very seriously.

Sounds like a live and learn situation I'm afraid, you have very little grounds to fight upon since you refunded the buyer.

Why didn't you just take the steps to remove the limitations from your account? Sure, it might have taken a week longer to get your money, but at least you know you're getting it.

You better forget about the money, why you set up a US account in the first place? It's NOT allowed. You broken the rules and Paypal will NEVER ERVER help those who break the rules.

You're out of pocket mate. Why would you refund him and then expect him to pay again. You should have asked him to send the money to the Indian account and then refunded the other.

Exactly what i was going to say. techlead, it`s $175 you most likely arent going to see again. Stop wasting your time, and use that time to make that money back. It happens to everyone. Stop whining.

It may depend on your perspective, but to many $175 now for a valuable lesson learned, if indeed it is a lesson learned, is worth a lot in terms of not learning this same lesson later at a greater expense.
