I hate cheaters.
I sell sites with screenshot of real adsense because to me, paper cant cover fire, one day the truth will be out.

The defacto normal should be a movie with logon to adsense and verified earnings in real time.

Also another way is to setup a remote terminal session and hook up to the persons computer and view what they are logging into etc.

I asked to do this once to one seller he refused so its obvious his site was a bogey, if we can standardize the practise the seller gets more money and the buyer has less risk so to speak!

 

I think (maybe) the only way to verify Adsense income is to get the seller to change the ads to your Adsense ID for a few days and check the stats in your Adsense account. Especially if it's a large sale. A bona fide seller shouldn't have a problem with that.

nope, using this technique they could just fake it, repaste the url and make it look legit.

What we need is a contextual ad provider that has a tool to generate 'channel revenue stats' for potential buyers than can see the data with a generated login.

I usually recommend using gotomypc to allow real time scrutiny of adsense accounts for my clients - this eliminates the fraudulent screenshots

 

That javascript thing is incredible. But I wonder why it exists in the first place. I mean, what's the purpose (if there is a purpose besides scamming people)?

Now I know why some of the sites I bought are earning nothing from adsense, it's not me it's them

 

basically, the sellers who understand professional ethics wont do this!!!

 

Good heads up...I've seen adsense claims..with the site not even being indexed...A good way to help determine if the adsense income is correct is to see how many pages are indexed of that particular site..check the page rank and alexa rank of that site to help determine how much traffic that site is getting..and most important like mdvaldosta posted...make sure you do the deal through escrow so you can verify what income is coming through that site.
