BuyDomains.com how much do I offer?

Has anyone ever dealt with BuyDomains.com? They have a name I want and offer it for $2,800.00 which I am not willing to pay. What offer would be reasonable? Has anyone ever dealt with them?

They are like any other business, make them an offer, they may take it, they may not.

I've bought a domain from them... I looked for domains that already had prices... and then sorted it lowest to highest. The one I got was perfect for what I wanted, and was grandfathered in at their old minimum rate of $288 (you can still find $288 domains there).

I know buydomains, feel free to PM me if you would like me to talk with him and see how much he expects for the domain.

i assume you can send multiple bids for the same domain (if one reasonable bid gets regected, up it some and try again). for something close to $2,800 you must really like the domain ;-)

Give it a few days, I have asked buydomains about it, but they have so many domains it takes them quite a while to reply.

Forget it... he just replied, says he is brokering the domain and can't go down, firm price of $2888.

I noticed he put up an auction for that domain recently, highest bid was $1,000 so his price is ridiculous. (reserve was not met, so he still has it)

Oh, well, what can we do? Some people just don't realize the real value of their domains.

At least now I understand the meaning of " a domain is worth what someone is willing to pay for it " first hand.
