the link sales sub forum, moves so fast by the time you have read an offer, that was at the top of the page, it's 2-3 pages deep inside 20 minutes.
    mostly because of junk links.

why not have a junk link subforum?

for all the sig sales, avitar sales, and the rest of the junk being sold

anything under $20 is posted in the junk link forum, and anything over $21 is in the other forum.
this will get rid of all the cloud sites, link page sites, and junk sites and new pr0 sites, so people looking for $30-$300 links dont have to sift neck deep in crap to find the real worthwhile ads.

it is a total mess in there. there is so much crap to wade though you need scuba gear and flippers

come on shawn you know it makes sense, and it would be a welcome move i am sure most would love to see happen.

    sammie ;)

Yeah i agree. I listed a domain sale 2 days ago, and even after 3 responses, it is now on page 5, which means no traffic. I see a lot of people bumping threads so they can get some exposure for an hours time.

one suggestion is to do what sitepoint does, charge for listings. You dont have to charge much, just a couple of dollars would keep the people from posting junk ads. I wouldnt mind paying a listing price if it means that my listing will be listed for a day or more. Just a thought.

The Idea is nice as it would benefit both buyers and sellers. I think mods should fwd this suggestion to Shawn.

    P.S.
And where should a thing like $20.5 go?:D

I strongly agree. There must be a junk forum, where all people looking and selling junk should go.

I hate $0.75 permanent link ads etc.

Yeah well, people can't even put stuff in the right forum as it is, do you think people would really classify their own stuff as "junk"?

Hit the nail on the head. Besides not every link under $20 is junk (many sell them on a monthly basis).

A seperate subforum for wordcloud sites is more ideal...

a weeks ban will soon teach them what is junk and what is not, ;) and a weeks ban for posting junk in the good links forum would save a few people getting ripped off, ok it aint thier fault they are born stupid, but something needs to be done Shawn.
and i think a $20-$25 limit would cut most the crap out of the link sale forum. and allow people to work.
we dont like sifting through the garbage. :D

word cloud, word pickers, sig sales, and $10 or under forum
that would clear 50% of it from the link sales forum

How about a subforum for "Signature Links" so link sales in the main forum are only "Sites Links" ?
