Buy, Sell & Trade - Freebies are racking up iTrader rep so ..

I strongly agree that iTraders shouldn't be given for freebies as it's getting way out of hand. However the fact is it does happen and right now there isn't much to stop it from happening.

For the time being I think it's important for anyone buying/selling to make sure they throughly research through the iTrader profile of the seller/buyer and only trust those who have made transactions of a significant value.

Saying that you should do this anyway...

Also newbies at the forum should be reminded of this by the more experienced members like us to make sure they don't assume anyone with a high iTrader is trustworthy as that is not always the case now. We wouldn't want them to come here and get scammed by some low life would we?

Whats funny is my most popular sales thread for my eBook got moved to the Freebie section and now I am getting nonstop PMs from people asking if they can have the book for free

Maybe I shouldn't have campaigned so hard for that section

 

See how many pages are in that section already? They just moved everything that has the term "free" in the title. Something like "Great arcade scrip free of bugs" would also go there.

But, now that the eBook is in there, you have to give me a free copy!!!

I am not sure if there is a way to null all iTrader generated from this section, although they shouldn't do that too, seemingly because of the fact that all threads with the word "free" in their title got moved (including some ones that weren't actually giving away everything for free). So... yeah I guess it being this way would be good for everyone.

Although something could be done for the people who have a lot of iTrader only because of stuff like this.
