Buy or sell domain names without a broker?

Hello - is it possible to buy or sell a domain name without using a broker such as Sedo, Moniker, or others? Is there any way around the $69 fee they all seem to charge? Specifically, I wish to buy a fairly low-value domain name with a .com extension, I already have the .net equivalent. The seller is anonymous within whois, so that doesn't help. Thanks in advance!

Have you tried an eBay? They don't have a buying fee on domain names. So are you trying to find out contact info to buy that domain? If the owner used private registration, then just use the private redirect email info from whois.

Since the whois information is hidden, how can you contact that guy? With a third party for deal, there will be more
    guarantee and easy to proceed.
