Buy now only for BANS?

What are your opinions on setting your sites to Buy Now only? It seems if you only get a commision if someone signs up for Ebay or wins the auction that it would be best to set up your BANS site with Buy Now only auctions right?

Sounds like a good idea. However, the BIN prices usually aren't so eye-catching unbelievably low prices that make the visitors click on the links. - and this is how BANS actually work.

But it might work for some niches - if you can find a niche with really cheap BIN prices... :)

If I were to use the BIN in some of my stores, I would only have a few items showing at any given time. So, I don't use them. Also, according to my analytics report, users are getting to my site using very specific searches, so I want to have as much content as possible running on my pages for search engines.

I think having very low auction prices (not BIN) tempts new users to sign up. If somebody sees a TV for $1, they might sign up just to have a 'fun bid'... and then end up buying something later on.

Guess what, the best way is to test and track your results to determine the maximum profits.

I wouldn't worry much about people buying what they see on your site, I've noticed most sales (for me) come from other things totally unrelated to the site they originally visited.

I want as much for people to select from as possible. darkmessiah is right. I could care less if they buy something directly from my site, I just want them to get to ebay from my site. Once there they can buy what they want and I will get credit.

    Good Luck
