    Why I drop out of some forums real quick.
    When I start getting emails, some forums were sending emails every single day.
    Trying to sell me something!
    Now why join a forum and get emails trying to sell me something?
    Why not post on the forum and let me see it?
    Email to forum members should just be for forum news, not to sell something.

    IMHO

    Think what would happen if DP started selling email campaigns and we all started getting emails.

    DP does, I couldn't find the info, but they sell one ad in each quarterly newsletter that goes out.

    I can live with a newsletter with information about DP (or any forum) that has ads to support it.
    I am talking just emails that are basically solo ads or a group of ads with no pertinent information.

    I think every forum does that, but the time frame is like weekly newsletter or monthly or say Quarterly Once.
    It depends on the forum's Business.
