While I was looking through marblehost.com web hosting offers I recognized that this company had free domain name within their hosting plans.
Do you think that it will be productive to buy hosting and get free domain name?

I suppose you need to read more reviews about them. So far I have seen mostly good reviews from them

almost all major web hosts get free life time domain,
anyway you should note that you may pay the registration fee if you don not use renew the host.

I have heard so many horror stories when the host owns the domains (as is the case with those free domains with hosting account offers). I would recommend just paying the $10 instead of risking the future of your site by having the domain owned by someone else.

I personally don't believe things go for free just like that. it's more likely that what they offer is a bundle that could hide the expenses and make it seem like you're at an advantage. so yeah, i hope you review your plan well and i wish you good luck on that ;)

Exactly! And to add on to what I said earlier, from my experience a lot of the hosting companies that offer these "deals" offer very low quality service (unreliable slow shared servers).

I totally agree with Psalm49 - it's better to pay money and register domain by yourself, because by getting free domain there is very big risk, that you'll loose it after some time
