if you wanted to make $100/day, is buying Google stock easier than building a blog/forum with adsense ads? This article on the blog asks the question make-100-a-day-with-goog-or-adsense/ Personally, I dont have any $$ to buy google stock, so I will stick with adsense for now. maybe when i get rich (of adsense ) what yall think??
Uhh. Pointless and silly. Google shares are trading at 500$. Lets say you bought 10 Shares, with 5000$. You realize, even if google goes to 550, You only made 500$. 500$ On a 5000$ investment. But, Google can easily go down as well. Google goes down to $400, You lose 1000$. Investing in individual stocks is a fancy word for gambling. Some people make money, some people lose. Some people make it a career to make money there, Random joes usually just guess. You're better off with adsense, as you can't lose money. Only make / 0$
Not true, I bill myself on a time basis. So if it takes me time to do something then I can put a dollar value on it. It all depends what you think your time is worth, but say you're billing yourself at $25/hr & you spend 20 hours working on the site. Then in effect you're down $500 because you've not actually make a positive return on investment for your time (yet).
thats one of the dumbest things I have heard in a while. In terms of a long investment stocks are probably safer than adsense.
every investments have both ups and downs. for adsense you have to spend some money - its not free. eg: domain registration , hosting , advertising, unless you are an expert you will loss money without earning a penny. same true for stocks.
I would go the build adsense websites route. That way your creating a busines, which isn't the case with investing in stocks.
You can go either way but the great advantage of adsense is that, once you have a site up and running, it is a steady earner. Even a dollar a day is $365 a year. Now, the question is how much investment do you have to make to come up with $1.00 a day? And then what are the running expenses of the site including updating and promotion? If you can keep that figure in the minutes per week you begin to see a net profit. And if you can boost the site to $100 a day with much the same time commitment you are beginning to make a living. The major difference is the $5000 for the ten shares of Google vs the $50.00 investment in your website. And here is the thing, if you can build one website which makes $1.00 or $5.00 or $100.00 per day you can build others. And they will all generate revenue monthly in theory forever. Owning GOOG does not pay dividends. And it is unlikely that the stock will continue to double yearly.
Safer than Adsense? What are the risks involved with building pages to increase Adsense revenue? I can earn a steady income with Adsense, and right now I'm averaging more than the price of a single share of GOOG per month. Even factoring in my time investment, I'm coming out ahead every day. GOOG is not going up every day, and over the long run no one should expect a single stock to be safer than a steady income stream.
