Take a look at this video. It's 6 minutes and it will be well spent time. Busted:Fox News CPAC Ron Paul Video Deception
I didn't ask for it initially but it would be interesting to read your thoughts about a large media company like this spreading lies to millions of americans.
No one has responded, from the video the discrepancy is not so obvious - what is the complaint. Afterall Fox is pro-Republican from other accounts. I seldom watch TV. Leaning the news or spin is an unfortunate way of life in US and generally accepted as universal in politics.
The video explains the discrepancy. Apparently, FOX news used video of the CPAC winner announcement from 2010, and presented it as 2011. In the 2010 the audience reaction was kind of negative. In 2011, they announced Ron Paul as winner and everyone was cheering like crazy - that's not the one they showed on FOX news. Therefore, it may be that FOX news is trying to present Ron Paul as having less support than he actually does?
That was my interpretation from the video's depiction as well, switching the years response - but a more selective camera depiction of the 2011 event may actually be the case. Why Fox would chose one over the other is for Fox news to explain but editing two different years as a false presentation just seems to silly to believe or be true. If not, and the violation is proven all their reports should be considered without merit. Now conservative commentary is indeed the make-up of the videos allegations and repeated daily.
If Fox put the video out, it is, by definition, the correct video. Anyone who says otherwise is mistaken. /Troll Off
Cmon, everyone knows Fox is a subversive organization handpicked by Dick Cheney and secretly funded by the Masons to achieve an ultimate objective of stealing our women and raping our horses. I hear they're using live babies as cordwood to heat the studio and have contests to see who can club the most baby seals at secret company retreats. Their black employees are forced to wear full livery and address white employees as "massa". Of course, This sorta intentional prevarication is exactly the thing you'd expect of Fox. It's also marginally possible that some dumb ass intern inserted the wrong crowd footage clip when editing the piece and nobody caught the error, but personally I find that story sorta hard to buy.
What I find odd is that most Americans more or less accept this. This is not an innocent lie. Truth is no longer important?
LoL. Yes, the secret committee to smear Republican Ron Paul holds their meetings at Fox Headquarters in New York. Its always personal and never innocent when it's your pet monkey they are talking about . No longer? Errors, spin, and outright lies were coming across the airways long before the creation of Fox. Fox made it's audience out of people who were sick of the single sided slant of the rest of the herd. I hate to sound like a complete cynic, but I highly doubt the news comes across much cleaner anywhere else on the planet. Acceptance of the fact the news will always carry some bias makes for a more skeptical public which should translate into better educated voters(And a healthy conspiracy theory crowd).
What I find odd is that as multiple governments topple in a span of weeks, warships from Iran steam through the Suez canal while Israel threatens military action, and riots break out in the streets in several Arab nations... you think a news clip that didnt properly credit a US politician with the correct amount of applause is the item we REALLY need to be concerned about.
Yes, it is the duty of news organizations to report the news subject matter accurately and should be held accountable if manipulated, the bias has become tolerated but not as an excuse for dysfunctional representation. Fox does not now disavow the story and frankly should be reprimanded and finned heavily with a warning to lose their license with any further events.
Here Here! Russian TV (RT) should also have that sham of an operation shut down here in the US! Fine them! God knows the nightly stream of lies coming from MSNBC should also be terminated!
Yes, fin them I say. By God a good old fashioned finning is exactly the thing! Whenever I get bored or moody I come here and read Breezes posts. Cheers me right up.
Absolutely, the two characters above do not realize what is the meaning of "Public Trust" in reporting the accuracy of the news and the meaning of the 1st Amendment as well as the meaning and basis's of the Constitution and its proper role. The accuracy may not be altered but the commentary or spin is the American contemporary way of life and acceptable.
Thanks for the assessment of my character, Breeze. Always nice to get the views of someone whose post frequency varies by the time it takes to chew through the straps.
Heh,,,yep..OK. When the world is completely in peace we can start thinking about lies? Funny, I thought lies caused things like this. I'm too naive.
You're assuming I agree that a news outlet known for a right wing preference staffed largely by journalists best described as libertarian in viewpoint would intentionally sabotage a right wing candidate with a libertarian viewpoint. I generally don't attribute anything to malice that's better explained by error. I like Ron Paul. He's from north Texas and shares many values that I was raised with. It'd be nice to see him gain more political traction than he has already. IMO, his biggest hindrance is vocal support from noisy tinfoil hat wearing internet conspiracy kiddies that could stand outside a Fort Worth rodeo arena listening to thundering hoofbeats and feel a need to rush home and blog shrill warnings about Texas being invaded by zebras. With friends like that, he doesn't need enemies.
Having the wrong stock footage is not that big of a deal. Do you really think that with personalities including Andrew Napolitano and John Stossel, there's a conspiracy by Fox to attack Ron Paul?
FACT: Ron Paul won the straw poll 2010 and 2011. FACT: Republicans discounted Ron and said that Romney would be the best choice. Possibly because Ron is to libertarian in his beliefs Your Media hard at work for you..
