I'm maintaining a website for a business and the owner has a Blogspot blog. My feeling is that she should move the blog to her business site and build traffic to that.

    Any tips or advice?

    Thanks,
    Tonya

you should get wordpress and a domain and do it on a hosted base.....way better than any free service...and trust me, if its the money, anyone shud be able to make back that in a year.

It's not about the money. She already has the website and she started the blogspot blog on her own. My feeling was that she should move to WordPress on her site, but it was a "gut" feeling.

I was wondering if someone had specific reasons why that would be the right move so that I could sell her on the idea.

    Thanks,
    Tonya

Personally, I don't think there is a problem running a professional blog, hosted on Blogger as long as it is on a custom domain and with fully unique design. The only drawback would be that Blogger is not so customizeable and extendable as Wordpress, but do you need widgets and gadgets for a business blog? I don't think so, the business blog should be as clean as possible.

if it's a business blog for her company then without a doubt it needs to be hosted on her site (or at least appear to be that way)...you can still use blogger with a unique domain.
