Hi all, I've been looking for an easy process workflow application for a while. I read on Microsoft MSDN site in quite detail that it is possible to program such application using Microsoft Office Developer. In fact, the example was that of a workflow only. But unfortunately, I don't have any idea how to install it (if it's just plug and play) or it needs to be programmed by .NET or VB Programmer. Search for 'workflow in microsoft access' and 'microsoft office developer workflow' on Google, the links take you to a Microsoft sites and it tells about such an application in access and SharePoint Server with InfoPath 2007 forms. I just don't have any idea how to go about it. The workflow I'm looking for should have the capability to keep track of the process in the process chain and show it in a flowchart form. I'm quite sure now that it is possible to install/program such an application using any of the Microsoft Office Tools. Please help. Thanks in advance. Sid.
I use LucidChart on almost a daily basis for a lot of my flowcharting. Not sure if it will do exactly what you need but thought I'd point you there in case.
Are you looking for a workflow engine therefore (ie the thing that will move work between people depending on rules) or more a monitoring tool so you can see who's got what etc? If it is the second, do you want it automated or a simple form people complete each time they start and finish a step?
