Business or personal page?

My company is a sole proprietorship and I'm not sure which type of page to create. Believe it or not, I have no facebook account of any sort - I'd just like to use this only for my business. If I can set up my sole proprietorship as a personal (feel I could reach more people), is there a way I can hide my name and information so people I know won't come tracking me down

I would recommend a business page even if you are a sole proprietor. The only benefits IMO used to be that you could like other pages and comment as a personal page, but now you can also do that too.

Oh... and you can change your privacy settings to hide certain info' - but if you own a company it would be better and more honest to show this.

Thanks! I just tried, but the signup form directs me to setup a personal page first. So does that mean you need a personal page to setup a business page?

That;s right. You need a personal page to 'administrate' the page.

Will people be able to search my name and find me by the personal account (administrate) I had to setup to open a business page? I would like no personal afflictions with FB, just business.

Personal page is good because it reaches to more people.

Doing this, can I show the page off with my business name and logo even though it’s a personal page?

I would recommend a business page. It is great to incorporate social media within your business and facebook works really well with that, user friendly, simple to use and interact/engage with your audience on.
