Contest Business logo design contest - 2 prizes - instant payment via Paypal

Hi DPers, here's that other contest I promised, this one is for a business called

H U N T, G A T H E R, G R O W (spaced for search engines)

The business is a environment-friendly one that specializes in non-power tools such as competition axes, collectible knives, shovels etc., I guess you could say tools for the survivalist type person.



Client would like to see different variations of this design, possibly with the addition of a logo.

Instructions:
Preferred colours are green, grey, black & blue.
Font type is "open"
Flowers are "greenery"

Client wants this logo ASAP so we might give it until Monday and closing this contest anytime from then on, depending on entries received.

I am offering 2 prizes once again.
1st prize is AU$25
2nd Prize is AU$15

As usual the winner will hand over the rights to their design to my client but can certainly use it in their portfolio.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you can come up with for this one.

Please have a go at this, I do give feedback and likes for all entries that fit the client brief.

Thanks for starting off again cosmin90. Nice use of the axe. I think the clients wants the leaves thing underneath. I forgot to add the owner mentioned he was an environment-friendly business, made a point of this, and I think the 'greenery' was important to him.

@cosmin90 - Aaw, thanks for your nice comment. I will have to work harder to become the best lol, and thank-you for the revision, it looks good to me.

@rjfahad50 - looks nice, have you got a flat version you can post rather than the rendered ? Though it does look impressive it looks out of focus at the top of the rendered version. I'm thinking more like the tshirt one but without the tshirt? The concept though is good. Thanks for your entry.

@all ENTRANTS - I will be showing all entries to the client on Monday and will also post his feedback then. I do have 2 entries sent by PM so far. I do prefer entries are posted in thread but I also understand entrants not wanting their concepts stolen. Sometimes I remember to include the line 'all entries must be posted in thread' but I did forget to put that in the OP so I will allow that for this contest. If a PM entry is selected then I must insist the winner must post their winning design in thread for all of the entrants to see.

@weirdXtreme - looks a bit overkill to me. I like the font & bottom greenery. I think I'd take the top away. My feedback only, not the clients. Thanks for submitting something original.

@Creative_illusion - I missed yours earlier. Couldn't work out if the tools are a shovel or chopper. The business name is wrong but that's easily fixable if client chooses your design. Concept fits the brief so thanks for entering.

@superdz - good that you have submitted a variation of the design presented though on the original the first letters of each word is not highlighted. Maybe you can re-present it all lower case? My feedback only.

@weirdXtreme - thanks for submitting again. I do note the pencilled drawing in the OP is all lower case.

@puttu - clean & simple. I like clean & simple though the capitalised letters may throw off the client. Maybe you could submit another with all lower case for the client to compare? I'm also not sure if the client really wants the flourish as shown in his drawing in the OP. Thanks for entering your design.

@all ENTRANTS - The pencilled design in the OP was presented to me when I asked the client what he was looking for. He said his wife had drawn that and something close to that would be good. I pointed out that that was really just a banner and he should also have a logo that people can recognize him by, hence why we put it to competition.

I think if you present something close to the pencilled design as the banner part and include a clever logo to go with it you'll have a pretty good shot at taking out this contest. Again, I won't be seeing client till Monday so this is my opinion only.

Contest still wide open. Looking forward to seeing more designs.
