Hi, I hope this is the right forum for this question. I work for a global company, operating in nearly 35 countries. As we're venturing into online marketing in (to us) unknown territories (Russia, Eastern Europe) it would be good with some input from those of you that are active in other markets than just US and Western Europe. Anyone with experience/knowledge of the Russian market? Obviously I need to find a partner to help us with ppc in Yandex but I'm also interested in finding a reliable company for other online activities (display ads, email, blogvertising etc). I would be grateful for any hints or if someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks. Andreas
No offense but if your company operates in nearly 35 countries, you should be able to use google to find out some information on SEM and Russian markets and cultures as it pertains to business opportunities especially online ops.
I lived and worked in China for the past 5 years, bribes and corruption eventually got to me and now I'm back in Canada. Everyone I know that has done business in Russia has got their companies stolen from them. First it starts out with bribes...then larger bribes as more people get into the loop...soon enough your no longer involved. Be very careful in Russia. Seriously, mafia are big trouble over thee.
