business idea..

I'm thinking of making a mobile phone site. I'll probably buy a .com.au domain and make the site for the australian market. I won't be selling anything just offering mobile phone reviews.

any tips or ideas before I do a business plan?

 

How do you plan on getting the reviews? Also, not much planning needed .. just marketing skills.

 

I've already written some. I just look at the phone (pictures) look at reviews from other people. Then if I've got any questions I'll ring my local phone store.

Becuase I'm targeting Australia I can get oz prices easily.

 

Yup. Marketing skills and make sure you know what your selling before you sell it, and know the background well.

 

How will your site stand out from the rest of the mobile sites?

I agree, marketing is a plus. You should plan on how you can get high rankings in SEs for your site and the SEO of your site as well.

 

Start writing your business plan. Research the industry--don't just look at a couple small player sites.

Be honest when you're writing down everything. When you're done, look at it and see how realistic it is given your education, experience and financial levels.

 

How do you plan on making money with it, simply slapping AdSense on it?

 

I am pretty sure that you could get decent Adsense revenue on a site like this.

 

Define "decent" in terms of actual money and traffic, please.
