There is a service I constantly want that does not exist. I don't have the time to develop but maybe someone can. I, like everyone gets ideas for sites and businesses. There is no resource to look for biz partners. Like a forum or a site where you post you idea for a site or real world biz and can you can find other people to join your team. They can be investors or people with skills, SEO etc.
it's a good idea to have a site like that BUT i got a feeling that your site will be full with those scammers and spammers to post their project. just make sure you have thought about the security and member's safety as well.
sounds good to me, if you are interested, I have an even better idea that I will not reveal on here. Are you in China?
this idea already exist, check http://www.gobignetwork.com, its a very popular and professional website/company..
cool site, however, it is squarely focused on funding. There is no attention to people looking for skilled partners. IE. someone wants an SEO, webmaster, designer, php programmer, etc. A lot of sites are started by partners who are usually friends. why not have a site that lets you find people who believe in your idea and want promote using their skills. What will most companies do once they get funding? 2 things. Pay for advertising or equipment, and the second pay for skilled work. My idea would address the second part. an experienced SEO is invaluable for a company. Most new startups cannot afford the services of one. If the skilled SEO was a partner he would then be working with the company.
interesting idea into making it more of a social community instead of a bulletin board of what I was originally thinking
Well, with clones of Facebook like Hatebook coming out, I don't see why there can't be a WebmasterBook! Ha. But I'm sure someone somewhere has already tried it. I think it'd be better to make a uniquely integrated social community/bulletin board/automated partnering system. THAT would be neat!
I also saw partnerup.com but it is still not what I imagined. I agree with the poster above. Can anyone see the potential for a community for entrepreneurs and start ups? Does not have to be internet related. Local chambers of commerce are this thing in the real world. Would be cool to have something like this on web. The focus I think should still be partnering people up to run their businesses together. so many things can be done. There can be a paid mentoring service even. Talk to someone who has been successful in your field for a fee.
Once u have the funding you can get the SEO, webmaster , designer, programmer etc.. however check carefully the site is not focused on Funding only, there is a lot of people posting and looking for partners too, they even have a forum. your idea is good, but i think this site is the next level.. they provide the service that u are talking about in a very professional way for serious and professional people. you know its really hard to come up with an original idea those days, there is always room for creativity, but take a look at the startups at www.techcrunch40.com, www.killerstartups.com almost every web 2.0 related idea has already been thought of. cheers.
the links posted refer to startups. The majority of businesses are not startups and have been in business for some time. the bigstartups place requires payment to post a project. Besides partnerup.com: 1.Could you show me a web 2.o community of business owners bouncing ideas of one another? 2. Is there a site, that let's me find a partner, not funding, but a partner as passionate as I am about a particular idea or business I currently run for FREE? If there is, please let me know. I would like to join. My idea would be built around the second point.
it's a great idea, but often difficult to find someone with the same interest level and passion as your own. Or if it's a really good idea, they'll just cut you out and run with the idea. That happened to me once, but I made up with the guy and we're friends again though it does sting a bit when I see his success. Just a lesson in humility I guess? I always think karma will come into play eventually.
