This is broad question.....i don't know i should write it or not....but let us see.. I have heard many times people are making money from ebay..without spending ( investing ) a single penny. How to go about it?? Any one who is doing this please participate...your participation will highly appriciated. Thanks in advance...
Wow - That was a broad question. You can sell shit from your attic, technically its of no cost to you.
Yeah, find old books lying around a sell them. Or, knock out some hobos teeth and sell them. I sold my friend's tooth for $15. There sure are some crazies on eBay.
Find something cheap, and sell it on ebay. Thats how you can make money on ebay. To invest nothing, find something for free, and sell it on ebay for money.
Can I sell some knowledge based books (Soft copy)...like SEO tutorials?? I am doing research work on eBay. I'll let you know my findings soon.
See when people are making money off eBay, as stated before, they are usually talking about selling merchandise. Your talking about selling books and thats a weak point in eBay on my terms. If it doesn't sell, you will have to pay listing fees, somewhere around a dollar. If you're going to sell numerous books or such on eBay, its a pretty big risk.
As well as listing fees, there are Final Valuation Fees if you sell your item. Also, if the buyer pays you by Paypal (owned by ebay) a small cut is taken for Paypal fees. And last but not least, if your item goes missing in the post, the buyer may leave you negative feedback, so it's best to send your item recorded delivery(or equivalent) so that you have a record of things sent out.
I have to agree that the best way to make money from ebay is by selling things that cost nothing to you. I have also had some good results from selling stuff I got a goodwill and other thrift stores. You have to be sure that there is some demand for what you are selling, and that it isn't complete crap. You will also be able to sell much easier once you build up some good feedback and a good reputation for yourself. Keep your auctions clean, simple and to the point, and provide good quality pictures and a good description and you will go far.
PayPal only takes a small cut if you have a Business or Premier Account, Personal Accounts don't get charged, but have a monthly limit of $500.
If you think the website business is crowded, try selling something on Ebay. The competition is about 10x as much for each and every product you can imagine. I did make a little money selling stuff on Ebay for a while but it's hard when you have a thousand sellers with the same product. Not to mention insertion, final value, paypal and shipping fees with every transaction. Forget about dropshipping, you can't get the merchandise cheap enough to make enough profit with fees. Reselling new merchandise for profit is tough when the Ebay market is selling an item less than the wholesalers. About the only thing I can think of is if you have an original product that you produce, or somehow got for next to free.
It is becoming impossible to make a profit through dropshipping on eBay. Honestly I dont see how people make a living on it anymore, the competition is extremely cut throat. The best thing to do is find your own niche that is relatively unpopulated (getting harder and harder to do) and start selling. If you want to make a serious profit, be ready to get in contact with local wholesalers yourself, dont rely on those directories or lists that you can buy.
or, if you are smart, try some more local websites, like the netherlands got a few dutch ebay look a like sites that have sold i think around 30% of my stuff!
You can sell that, post it and see if people buy, if they don't, try something else, if they do buy, keep on selling it. good Luck
So true, too many people are selling and not enough people are buying. Before when I use to post something I would get few people biding on it, now I have to post something few time to get a bid. Some new website has to come with a lot of buyers and low sellers.
I really dont know how the whole online auction thing will play out, hopefully a new auction site will come along with much lower fees and still have all the features and integration that ebay does. But your right, online auctions are suffering because there are so many people looking to make a living off of it.
So many thing on ebay are being sold below wholesale, its like those people have rob a trunk and they are trying to get ride of it fast. I use to sell books on amazon, made some money. But now I see so maney books are being sold for few dollars, I don't even see why would some one sell a $20 book for $1. And their not even one time seller, they have sold 100s of book, $1 is not worth the time to pacakge the book and go to the post office.
