Bit of a wierd one.. I'm trying to arrange all the categories for a 'Business Directory'.. am I missing anything out? I've got to sort it out for a client, he wants to target businesses in his local city and offer them advertising in the specific category. I'm just wondering if there are to many categories or not enough.. :S Accounting Advertising Building Car Hire Car Repair/Parts Car Salesrooms Carpenters Childcare Computers Design Distribution & Haulage Driving Lessons Electricians Employment Services Estate Agencys Florists Funerals Garden Services Gyms & Health Clubs Hairdressers Insurance Jewelery Legal Office Equipment Partys Photography Plumbers Printing Services Removals Security Solicitors Takeaway Food Taxi Services Van & Truck Hire Web Design Weddings 36 What you reckon? He needs to be able to ring up businesses in these categories and hopefully sell them advertising, those are the categories I think he could potentially sell to. For example, he could ring up 'photographers' and offer them a listing in the 'Wedding' category.
If your bulding this for a client, look at that client being able to manually add new catagories, then just lst a few of the more common ones and then let the owner add as he goes. you have ? also only listed catagories, i would suggest sub catagories to also be added. ie SHOPPING > TOYS SHOPPING > CLOTHES BUSINESS > OFFICE FURNITURE BUSINESS > BUSINESS CARDS ETC ETC
You’re missing most of the industry and manufacturing topics that are important for a business directory. Some of your listed topic names are incorrect and sound amateurish. Exploring some of the major business directories could be a great deal of help to you.
