Can anyone advise on the value of an entry in the www.business.com directory? I have a price of $169.00 per annum and am promoting a UK business site.

    Thanks!

I get very few referrals from my listing with them - a handful per year. The directory is mostly useful just for links and possibly some branding IMO.

It's nice that they offer up to four deep links with a listing though.

How would you rate it in terms of link devlopment - which is my main reason for considering it.

Depends upon the category you are targeting. For me, it's an expensive link (there are better ways to spend $200/year just for links), but the deep links are nice and I consider the branding (ie. being listed with all my competitors on a fairly well known directory) important.

It's a good directory and it's a pretty strong link. It's also trusted and respected by Google so a link from their directory helps build the "trust" of your own site. I'd recommend it.
