Does anyone have any experience on the PPC model at business.com? Ive been dabbling for a week and it seems that the strategy for this site is significantly different than the google/yahoo model. Any thoughts/tips?

Yes, I've tried business.com and I would say that it isn't too much different from Google or Yahoo. You set bids and budget like Google. You add keywords and create ads like Google.

Why do you think it's so different from Google?

Business.com also offers a directory listing for $299/year, but don't get this mixed up with their PPC program.

It seems like there PPC program is centered around certain "Categories", and there are certain "category" keywords that are significantly more important, but they don't show where to get these "bolded category keywords" and what a competitive bid would be, as well as traffic estimates. Do you get any noteworthy traffic through business.com?

They do send a considerable amount of traffic - I got hundreds of clicks on a daily basis. However in my case, conversion rate was poor. I'm not sure what niche works best for Business.com. I would suggest at least test them out with a small budget.
