A similar thread was opened by someone else earlier but was closed. The pages of the directory did disappear from the google index: here Even if you query site:business.com it shows a million pages indexed but they are actually 100+ useless pages (www.business.com/advertise/....) and no page from the directory is there. Makes you wonder...
By Checking trough Search status Firefox extension I see 1,280,000 from business.com http://www.google.com/search?q=site:business.com
not the case for internal directory pages like http://www.business.com/directory/accounting Nothing after the 13th page.
I do not find any problem with business.com See about 1 million of indexed pages, listed on brand name. Maybe you're boys too fast, eg. could be temporary datacenter problem...
or may be you are too fast to reply without checking. This might be temporary and solved because this is not a regular directory.
Do you see this page http://www.business.com/directory/index.asp in the index now? And the pages linked from there?
I checked b.com for indexed pages under 40 live most popular DCs - it was OK. It's possible I may be wrong. It''s possible you are wrong. The future will show. But the difference is that it was you who started the thread, not waiting for enough confirmation, so don't be ridiculous.
http://www.business.com/directory/ doesn't redirect to /... You forgot to add a slash on the end of the url, that's why it redirected to business.com
I can see "Results 1 - 10 of about 952,000 from www.business.com" indexed pages of business.com and also the directory doesn't redirect to the main domain. (datacenter : 72.14.235.104) Everything is normal here .
did anyone check site:http://www.business.com/directory/ ? this is where all the directory pages are like http://www.business.com/directory/accounting/ , .... none of these pages is indexed.
Your search - site:http://www.business.com/directory/ - did not match any documents. Yeah, no result.
Yes they are not indexed. The number of results (a million or so) makes you thing everything is OK, but only a 100 or so pages are actually indexed. and they are not from the directory.
where you search for a small text in its directory pages (listing description) google returns its partners like allbusiness.com and others. So no these pages do not show in the serps. EDIT: Looks like the directory pages are back now. good news. site:http://www.business.com/directory/
