two questions: 1) Does anybody use business cards to promote their website? Due to the nature of my site its by far the most effective way to promote, with business cards and unique content alone I am getting 40,000 pageviews a day after 6 weeks 2) If you do, how much are you paying? I hav a contact in the UK who does 10,000 2 sided colour business cards for £110, or 5000 for £80. He even personally delivers them to my door for no extra cost. A good friend gets a better deal for some half-sized business cards which he gets for dirt-cheap as he buys them in batches of 50,000. I keep forgetting to ask how much they cost and who his contact is.
yikes, a bit pricey for my liking - business cards are the one thing i need to monitor in terms of outgoings because they only just pay for themselves at the price i get them. by the way: £110 = $216
the way my business runs is that we take pictures of people in clubs and at events. And as it is a relatively new business, nto many have heard of us yet. so when we take a picture we hand out a business card just telling them where they can get their picture, its free, etc. people log onto the site, get their picture, and then tend to use the site when bored in work or university. also a great way of geo-targetting visitors and eventually viral marketting via myspace. the site is xoog.net although i should really stop telling people this as i want uk uniques lol
try printing.com but i am sure you can find something cheaper ie. get a lower quality paper! Nice site!
Business cards are a GREAT way of meeting people in the industry (for possible business deals or joint ventures). Handing your card out to people at a meeting/seminar related to your website's niche is a great way of establishing relations with that market.
