I have bought a skype out number which is 0161 (manchester in UK) so I just take that number with me wherever I go, its on my business card - looks better than not having one.

I really believe phone numbers really make huge difference when it comes to marketing.

I mean if i had a business card and one had a phone number and one didn't I would more likely do business with the one that had a number. And if i had to choose between a card that had a local number and one that had a toll free number i would choose the toll free number, because it just seems to be more professional.

Totally agree. I used to sell business cards and you always have a phone number, people expect one to be there. IN fact, many people in the offline world who are not internet savvy would think something shady was going on if there weren't a phone number on the business card.

    Hahaha......
    Business requires communication.
Phoning someone is the fastest way of sorting many things out.
Not only that, its reassuring to know, that if need be,
you can pick up the dog-and-bone and directly converse
with the person you are giving money too for a service.

    It is quite new way.
As the business is web-based, it is not weird.
However, it might lead to losing some small clients, especially the ones who are not using PC all the time.

If you are operating an online business, I don't really see why you would need business cards. Ego trip, maybe? ;)

Its really suspicious thing that not to enter your contact number in Business Cards! You can get a Mobile Phone then use that number in Business cards, because some things alike Payment Terms can be discussed through any Communication System! in better way

Phone number is not important, you are marketing web site not yourself, as long as website is on it it is ok, what really would be odd if you print a business card with nothing on it, then some other question can pop up.

Well adding a phone number does help for quicker immediate business. But since almost everyone in the friggin world has internet at home these days... it's totally up to you. If they're really interested then they will visit your website
