Business Cards / Leaflets

    Would you agree that these are probably the best offline source of marketing for a freelancer like me? I plan on buying some and handing them out to my local town.

    I would suggest you to contact your small merchants of your local area or specific business type people, if you start getting few jobs, it is easier to get more clients through recommendation and referral from your existing clients for getting another jobs.

    I used to run a direct mail marketing company. We designed, printed and mailed leaflets flayers business cards and the like.

    Success will all depend on what your offering, and who your target demographic is.

    Can you be more specific?

    I think it's a good start (definitely need them at some point) but like the others have said, word of mouth might yield even more results.

    Don't rely on just that is my point I think!

    They will work....

    but , like everything else, it depends on the quality of the design, and perhaps more crucially, the quality of the database to which they are given.
