Business cards anyone?

Does anyone here have any business cards or anything that they give to family, friends and people they meet to have them visit their certain websites? I was thinking about doing this and put the main site on there that has all my other ones linked to it.... also, what do you think about having custom plastic bracelets made?

Good idea. But they have to be attractive and somewhat "special" or they will be forgotten/thrown away.

I have designed a card like that...
Its printed on material like you have for Credit Cards... This way it becomes permanent and looks good too :)

I would test out a standard business card first before spending too much money going all out. If a traditional business card is working well, then go for it. It also depends on the demographics of your viewers as well.

Of course I use a business card with my electronic contact details on - and I get a good number of hits back from them, too. Mostly putting my email on the card will get me a client eventually, not so much the website.

Business cards sound good, but I don't think plastic bracelets would work unless you are handing them out to kids.

Have you thought of flyers, brochures, or customized pens? I like the pen idea because everyone keeps pens. :)

Valuable objects that have everyday use like bags, shoes, shirts, pens, diaries, wallets or such will do. Depends on your budget.

    Criteria to select an object

    1] Value.
    2] Potential daily use.
3] Use in outdoor or office or school/college environments where others have a chance to notice the item.

Yeah! Official Sites of any firm, business & organisation can also be featured through business card but for webmasters & SEO its not right idea to implement huge bulky lists in a short version of visiting cards! however leading websites can be mentioned with your name and business :)

I've used pens and printed post-it notes with moderate-to-good success. I think if you are going to try using offline marketing methods on actual "things", you should concentrate on things that are used around the computer. An item that is in the car or the kitchen with your web address on it may never translate into hits to your site, where an item that sits in an office or right beside the computer and has your URL on it may bring traffic with it.

    Some good ideas here.

I always have some type of business card on me because I have found myself more than once in a room where everyone was exchanging business cards and I didn't have one... For starters it just helps people remember your name which is never bad for business. And for the price of them they are well worth it, you can get some pretty good deals on them online. I keep all the cards I receive and will root through them now and then when I'm looking to buy something.

Try fridge magnets. These are kept a lot longer and are more visible than bracelets.

I've started using business cards to help promote my local coupon site and it is working very well. People are genuinely interested and handing them a card is a great conversation starter.

Yes, I have cards for certain sites of mine. They works great!

I own a print company so if anyone wants business cards I'll hook you guys up. I don't want to spam your thread so ill stop my promotion at that.

But yes, BC's are great for offline marketing.
