This is not about CBS nor FOX. It's about blind loyalty to a single source by many right wing nuts.

How nice of you to try and cloud the issue, but I'm alot smarter then that. But I can appreciate you running from someone that can take the rhetoric and put it back in perspective for what it really is.

BTW, the CBS dig is played out. We all get it and compensate for it when CBS is the source of something. Move on. Nothing to see there. Get a real issue and stop using that one as a smoke screen when you got nothing else. :D

Wow where do I start Mia...

I should probably start by more directly explaining my point because though I noticed you're quick to claim you struck a nerve, the irony is that I apparently was the first to strike a nerve by mentioning Fox, since it sparked a little bit of a rant there.

My point... was that this thread (and the whole issue for that matter) was looked at as funny and harmless. I think a lot of us liberal nutcases for once thought something the president did was cool. No one in the thread was taking it seriously until the Bush Protection Agency (BPA) arrived in post #3 and starting ranting about the injustice of it and no one was even talking about that!

As for the rest of you,

Do you really believe Fox is fair and balanced? Because they don't even try to hide that they're not! OK try this... you call CBS, MSNBC, CNN, BBC, and others the "liberal media". To some extent I agree with that that's why I watch Fox to hear what the conservatives have to say. And guess what. If I had a betting partner to bet against I'd be rich because whenever there is something on any other network criticizing conservatives or the Bush administration I always bet myself that Fox is covering the story and spinning it to look good. I change the channel and I'm nearly never dissapointed.

I mean come on... Not a single white house conservative will interview with any network but Fox when it counts. Because they know they can count on them not to ask any politically damaging questions. When the whole Cheney shot gun incident went down he ran to Fox for an interview. When he was tied up in the CIA leak investigation he went on Fox. The only one on one interview Bush has ever given where he'd talk about the war was with a Fox conservative named Shawn Hannity.

Here's how they play it... to debate an issue where they need to make conservatives or Bush look good they'll bring on a conservative strategist and a liberal strategist. They'll say hey, look how balanced we are! Then the show starts and the conservative guest and the conservative host of the show gang up on the liberal and cut them off. The conservative host peppers the liberal guest with loaded questions and often flat out debates with the guest! Then stops attacking the liberal guest long enough to say "ok now let the conservative guest get a word in". Amazing...

The clencher is that the majority of all the major show hosts on Fox have a day job. Guess what it is? Conservative radio show hosts....

That's no exaggeration, do a google search on all of them yourself.

When the University of California says you have a liberal bias, you have a liberal bias!

    Read http://www.newsroom.ucla.edu/page.asp?RelNum=6664

Of the 20 major media outlets studied, 18 scored left of center, with CBS' "Evening News," The New York Times and the Los Angeles Times ranking second, third and fourth most liberal behind the news pages of The Wall Street Journal.

Only Fox News' "Special Report With Brit Hume" and The Washington Times scored right of the average U.S. voter.

The most centrist outlet proved to be the "NewsHour With Jim Lehrer." CNN's "NewsNight With Aaron Brown" and ABC's "Good Morning America" were a close second and third.

"Our estimates for these outlets, we feel, give particular credibility to our efforts, as three of the four moderators for the 2004 presidential and vice-presidential debates came from these three news outlets — Jim Lehrer, Charlie Gibson and Gwen Ifill," Groseclose said. "If these newscasters weren't centrist, staffers for one of the campaign teams would have objected and insisted on other moderators."

The fourth most centrist outlet was "Special Report With Brit Hume" on Fox News, which often is cited by liberals as an egregious example of a right-wing outlet. While this news program proved to be right of center, the study found ABC's "World News Tonight" and NBC's "Nightly News" to be left of center. All three outlets were approximately equidistant from the center, the report found.

"If viewers spent an equal amount of time watching Fox's 'Special Report' as ABC's 'World News' and NBC's 'Nightly News,' then they would receive a nearly perfectly balanced version of the news," said Milyo, an associate professor of economics and public affairs at the University of Missouri at Columbia.

Five news outlets — "NewsHour With Jim Lehrer," ABC's "Good Morning America," CNN's "NewsNight With Aaron Brown," Fox News' "Special Report With Brit Hume" and the Drudge Report — were in a statistical dead heat in the race for the most centrist news outlet. Of the print media, USA Today was the most centrist.

I watch Fox news quite a bit. I do switch over to CNN from time to time, to see the "liberal" point of view more exclusively. For example, during Hurricane Katrina, I was able to witness the most vile race baiting by anchors I've ever seen. CNN Anchors were race baiting every African American they could get into a limousine to their headquarters to push the "Bush doesn't care about "black folks" agenda." It was sickening to see it, but BDS knows no boundaries.

What I find interesting though, is some actually claim to watch it, because they want to see the conservative view. But never really touch base on the reality of it. Because when I watch, the format of the screen typically goes something like this:

Left portion of the screen, from top to bottom, is the current Fox anchor. About 2/3rds of the way over, there are two squares from top to bottom. The top square is occupied by a moonbat. The bottom by a conservative. Anchor presents info, moonbat responds with artificial reality, conservative counters, moonbat counter-counters, then it's time to move on because of "breaking news," or a "hard break."

I don't know when and what version of Fox news some people are watching, but for supposedly being conservative (shh, Murdoch doesn't want you to know he voted for Gore or is quitely supporting Hillary) news, there sure are a LOT of moonbats on there. I see a lot more democrats on Fox than I ever see of conservatives on CNN.

What a president ha? - Proud to be an American.
    In the meantime ......
Hey, what about the Christian law Love each other and Love your enemies? Somebody needs to tell that to the "born again Christian" in the white house.
OK. Let me tell you one really, really, REALLY important Truth. - "Love is the Most Powerful Weapon. Love can defeat any enemy."
Until we get the world leaders sharing these ideas, people will go to war. The rules of the animal world will be in play. The bigger fish will eat the smaller one.
May God give peace to all people.

Bush and I agree almost 100% on foreign policy issues.

On domestic issues, our agreement is probably just below 50%.

Bush is an OK Joe in my book.

Yeah, its pretty hard to stand behind bush on the domestic front (especially the spending crap), but I'd hate to see the alternative on the foreign side. I haven't seen a backbone in any democrat (save lieberman) in a long time.

Yeah, I am in the 60/40 camp, domestically... about 95% on foreign matters.

On Iraq, I would have taken over, built a pipe line to the US and sucked them dry.

I'm fairly confident that if Kerry or Gore were president, not only would the WTC be gone, but the Sears Tower, the Arch, Empire State, etc... We would probably be seeing an attack a day on US soil. All the while they would be saying, you guys better stop that.

Judging from the length of this post, it looks like I did indeed strike a nerve. You only think that mentioning "Fox News" strikes a nerve. It does not. All it does is annoy people who are sick of hearing "Fox News" mentioned as the attempt at qualifying comments that are debunked. It's the catch all lib punk phrase used when backed into a corner. When all else fails just whip out the "Fox News" card. Nope, no nerve struck. Just bored with the constant trite.

This is the first step to recovery. Admitting you have a problem. You are making progress. Let us know if we can help.

I'd have to say the few times I have watched Fox News while channel surfing amongst CNN, PMSNBC, etc., I have noticed that there is a point counter point format. Equal time for all. Sometimes they seem a bit left leaning, but then again, what media outlet isn't? What I do notice about CNN and PMSNBC is that they are completely one sided, 100% left 100% of the time.

I think what bothers liberals about Fox News is the fact that they actually explore both sides of an issue. The fact that they actually give equal time to the left and the right and in between. You see, if you are 100% left all the time, liberal nut cases will love and applaud you. But if you show say .00001% of a right point of view, you are suddenly deemed as being to the right.

Case in point. Several networks have been moving towards Fox's format. You have to ask yourself WHY? Maybe because it works. Most of us like our news unbiased. I just want the news reported to me. I don't want some leftist nazi liberal scumbags retarded point of view and personal opinion (Lou Dobbs) being inserted into the program. I guess that is why I actually watch a lot of CNN. I am a bit of a sadist. To me, most of it is quite humorous.

If anything, Fox News still leans to the left IMHO. The irony in all this is that the owner of Fox News was one of the single largest donors to the Kerry campaign. Yeah, that's really "fair and balanced".

I will give CNN and the lot this much credit. They are not as bad as those crackpot Canadian news channels. CNN give you bits and pieces of, sometimes half of, and a slightly exaggerated take on, the "news" (facts).

These Canadian news channels I have on Direct TV tend to resort to the CBS mold of "making up the news as it suits them".

The reason you see more people on the right being interviewed by Fox News is because Fox is not going to take the tape to the editing room, and piece together the interview taking things out of context to construct their own interpretation (see CBS).

Hmmm, Bush just had an indepth LIVE, uncut, off the cuff interview with Larry King. They talked about the war, among other things. It was a great interview, with some good/tuff questions asked, and all answered, quite well. Again, when Bush is unscripted and not reading some stupid speech, he comes off quite well spoken with great conviction.

Boo hoo, cry me a river. So when a liberal point gets debunked we call it "ganging up", but when a Conservative point of view hits home, oh, he must be watching too much of that there Fox News.

    Now that's "Amazing".

So too do the liberal commentators/hosts. Do a Google search on that!

    Yep,
Everyone in the World is wrong, but Bush. Seems like there are two opinions now in the world.
The first one is the Bush's (which is right ...... in his view) and the other one is wrong. Violence breeds more violence. Very simple truth. People have used it for centuries and didn't set the world right. Neither will Bush (with the US army), nor Isr ael with her army.

Californication? Are you serious? Can you get a better source please. The only thing good that can come from California is the dust that settles when it falls in the ocean. Like ya know? (bobs head side to side)

I have more good california jokes, but I just broke my mouse and my keyboard shift key is sticking. I spit on them too many times laughing at Ann Coulter.
