It is official. Could not believe my eyes when i read it.
    Check my article here: http://www.wantedterrorist.com/news/bush-to-seek-68-bln-for-new-iraq-strategy/

I also read that he thinks the next president should decide whether to continue the war in Iraq or not...

Isn't it time for him to step down from his duties? The man is insane. How many soldiers have to die before he realizes that this "war" is not worth the billions of $$ and the lives lost?

I don't know what it will be, and neither does anyone else until he says it...what is interesting is the dems want to block it. Yeah, thats a good idea, don't give our military the resources they need to win, instead just let them lose and then laugh...perfect for the dems.

I really do hope newyorker is wrong, but from all the chatter I have been hearing, they say he is going against most reports and wants to do a troop surge. As d16man says, we really wont know until after he speaks.

Who knows, maybe he wont get so coked up tonight and will make the right decision! hahaha

He is insane mate but the money will continue to be wasted and many more lives needlessly lost in an unwinnable war.

Putting more more money and troops into it is just like putting a sticking plaster on a shotgun wound.

    Why continue this war?
To create more hatred under muslims and terrorists? Good idea.

And what exactly do you think will happen if we leave? Do you think murderers will just lay down their weapons and pass the peace pipe?

For the democrats, a win=america losing and pulling out of Iraq...

this war on terror (I predict) is a war we are going to be fighting from now on...and I also think (MO) that within the next 20 years we will be in another global war against radical Islam.

For the republicans, a win=more profits for the people ramming the war down our throats...

I believe the troop surge plan has merit to it. To date, the troops (both Iraqi and American) have been mopping up neighborhoods and moving on. Once they leave, the thugs return and the cycle repeats itself. From what I gather with the president's speech, the mopping up will continue and then the troops will hold each area of Baghdad.

Sounds like a good plan to me. Now, we need the Iraqis to stand by their promise to make things work. Time will tell.
