"Smite the neck of the disbeliever." Hmm - either, render a love tap to the neck of an infidel, or cut his infidel head off. I suppose it's all in the view of the interpreter, but I prefer to rely on Occam's razor everytime.
I see. Usually, I see battle situations refer to "enemies," as in, "smite the neck of your enemies." I had thought, by your posts, that being a disbeliever was not prima facie evidence of being an enemy, but as the line indicates "disbelievers" and not "enemies," this must have been an incorrect assessment. "Disbelievers are enemies, and their disbelieving heads need to leave their seat." Thanks for clearing this one up. Of course, I've also seen you refer to me and my atheist fellow-travellers as lower than rats in the gutter, less than human beings, so I guess anything is possible.
What I don't get is why is he using google earth when he is the president and should be doing political stuff?
North, I too had been directing my posts elsewhere, not at you. And I love Berra myself, and somehow I knew you would too
