I recently read somewhere that Pres Bush feels that muslims and christians pray to the same God. Does he really feel that way?
He's neither. He feels no pain for the suffering he has caused. I would guess he's atheist, but I hope the fook prays to God every night for being one of the worst terrorists ever to walk this earth. He is a FAILURE and he always will be. A disaster of a President. I could go on and on about this chump but it makes me angry talking about this fool so I will stop and wait for the cheerleaders to come in. Cue cheerleaders.........
AGS gets emotional because Bush goes after the types of people he admires and supports. I mean seriously, can't a bearded dark skinned guy saw off a head these days and shout "allahs snackbar" without people like GTech getting all bent out of shape?
Bush claims to be a Christian, but according to Christian Theology there is only One God (the one described and authoring the Bible). For Bush to say something along the lines of "everyone prays to the same God", although I don't think those were his exact words, is obviously a political statement. If he is a Christian, I don't know how he justifies saying something like that for political popularity, but my guess is that it's the same justification we've been using for years of "It's ok as long as it's for the greater good". IMO, the most dangerous belief system ever devised, no matter what religion you are!
His religion (Republican leadership) will depend on how much money and how many votes Christian, Jewish or Muslim (Saudi) lobby can deliver. The only sure thing at present time is the fact that they (he) will not be Buddhist since they have no lobby group with money or votes.
Actually, Islam,Judaism, and Christianity do believe in the same God...however, Jews and Muslims do not believe in God as a Trinity, whereas Christian's do. Islam does recognize Jesus as a great prophet, but not as the Son of God. Jews also believe in the Holy Spirit being God's Spirit, although they do not see it as a dualistic God. In regards to Bush's statement, he is correct when he says we pray to the same God, however, it is how the individual sees God that is a difference.
If I can't see you and you're behind a door, I can still talk to you. But this does raise a good theological question - who are you really praying to if you think it's Allah, God, etc at the same time? It should not be beyond belief to you that there are people in the word who do not share your views.
If you would guess that Bush is an atheist then you would be wrong. He is most definately a Christian. Of course, as far as I'm concerned that is part of the problem with our president. I wish that we could get religion out of governments all over the world. Religion seems to be driving all the stupid decisions of our leaders. I'm curious. Why do you think that Bush is a disaster? Also, do you think that there are any other US Presidents that were disasters? How about any other leaders of foreign countries?
The God of all three have roots in the Abrahamic tradition....Islam considers themselves from Ismael, while Jews and Christians go from Isaac...
