Cyrus255, Have you read the The Protocols of the Elders of Zion? If you had, I can tell you that this book is based on pure hate from the russian nobillity(Have some own relatives myself). The book is partly based on copy pasted materials from nearly some french comedy cartoons. The book was written with a very propagandic style and led to many progroms against jews and was also one of Hitlers resources for encouraging his hate against jews which killed 6 million jews and are still killing jews today in ME since the book is used in Syrian schools and promotes syrian suicide bombers to help the palestinians in killing the jews. The book is mixing facts with horrible hypothesis which is why it has been to succesfull. If you believe in Yo-Yo, you can also believe in the book. Believe in neither of them and you will be alright mentally and be able to see the true logic that you didn't saw before. Have a nice day
I'd agree, but what sucks is that if you are independent you have no say in who is in the general elections. The primaries are where the good action is and where ideas are put to the test. I'm registered republican to keep my voice in the primary and get someone I want on the general ticket. I'd hate to lose that voice.
Lorien, that's the one thing that had been keeping me in the GOP in recent years — having a vote in the primaries. But when I realized how far left of my beliefs both parties had gone, I felt I had to leave the party on principle. You raise a good point, and one does lose some voting power by registering Independent.
Here's a funny thing about the Constitutional Convention....it was done very privately. Everyone present swore not to share what occured there in their lifetime. Therefore private notes (e.g the 'Madison Notes') have told the general story of what occured there. Your above quote is consider a hoax, because it isn't verifable and lack credibility. http://www.adl.org/special_reports/franklin_prophecy/franklin_intro.asp http://www.adl.org/special_reports/franklin_prophecy/franklin_documenting_fraud.asp Of course, no such speech was ever made. But the hoaxers sought to impart an aura of historical credibility to the fake by claiming that the speech is quoted in a "private diary" of Charles Pinckney, Revolutionary leader who was delegate from South Carolina to the Constitutional Convention. They also maintain that the diary is now in the possession of the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, a bald lie which Henry Butler Allen, director of the Institute, has often refuted. Allen says that "historians and librarians have not been able to find [the diary] or any record of it having existed." A copy of the forgery was anonymously circulated through the mails this month [May 1954] on stationery captioned WAR DEPARTMENT, OFFICE OF THE CHIEF OF STAFF. The envelope bore a May 3 postmark from Atlanta, Ga. This is the latest in a series of recent incidents that suggest another revival of the Prophecy. A copy was picked up earlier this year at a Tampa, Fla., bus stop, and there have been recent distributions of it in Nebraska, Pennsylvania and Alabama.
I actually have the 'Washinton Papers', which essentially has the majority of Washinton's popular quotes. The quote above is really taken out of context, and is essentially bent to look a certain way (ie it's incorrect). http://www.snopes.com/quotes/thejews.htm This quote is a recasting of something Washington did say, providing just enough of an aura of authenticity to sound believable. What Washington actually wrote (or, at least, what is attributed to him in Maxims of George Washington), regarding currency speculators who sought to profit by taking advantage of soldiers and others during the Revolutionary War, was: This tribe of black gentry work more effectually against us, than the enemy's arms. They are a hundred times more dangerous to our liberties, and the great cause we are engaged in. It is much to be lamented that each State, long ere this, has not hunted them down as pests to society, and the greatest enemies we have to the happiness of America. Washington's private life and writings reveal no evidence of anti-Semitism, and his public attitude towards religious tolerance was well expressed on a 1790 goodwill visit he paid to Newport, Rhode Island, during his first term as President.
Oh so you believing that propaganda is okay? There weren't 6 million jews left in all of german controlled territory for him to kill. That number has been heavily inflated. All the while you forget that Jew-controlled Communism killed 100 million of it's own people. 30 million Christians. But we don't hear any outcry over that. Earlier, I saw a history channel documentary that paints communist russia in a pretty good light. Amazing. Every single Soviet head of Security was a jew, as well as most of Stalin's cabinet, Leon Trotsky was a jew, all 3 of Stalin's wives were jews. And ironically, Stalin was going to "pile up jewish bodies on the border to provoke america" and died in his sleep the next day. Kruschev had a jewish wife too. Oh P.S. Germany wasn't the only country to imprison jews in world war 2. We did too. Most non-US citizens was imprisoned during world war 2. That INCLUDES all the Jews who fled Germany and France. [The only citizens imprisoned were japanese and that was ruled unconstitutional after a massacre at one of the facilities.] So Albert Einstein WOULD OF been imprisoned for WW2, but I guess we considered his science-value too important. Black gentry is slang for middle easterners, or jews. There were no Arabs in the US, so it can easily be assumed he spoke of Jews. And as for the letter he wrote to the jews, no one DARED speak against them in public! They could destroy nations financially. Consider Rothschild who singlehandedly allowed British victory over Napoleon via his immense financing.
ASSUMED is the key word. There was only 1,243-3,000 jews in America durning that particular quote. Jewish Population 1654-2001 The printing of 'Continentals' showed to be a miserable failure...not because of Jews, but because durning war it's nearly impossible to only rely on currency expansion to finance a war (especially when people didn't recgonize it as a value). Thus the quote 'not worth a Continental'. Same thing happened in Civil war on the Confederate side. None of this could be blamed on Jews.....more on this later. Before that they laid under the Currency Act 1764, which prohibited them from using anything but British currency. This was created because former British law made the American currency system very displaced; although the suggested result was an America with huge deficits and a lack of available capital. This was a factor in starting the Revolution. If you want to argue anything, the founders made it much more easy to make a centralized banking system. Prior to the ratification of our Constitution it would have been nearly impossible to put in a centralized banking system; but once the Constitution was put in place Hamilton was trying from the get-go. This is the man that made the party that George Washington was aligned with. So are you suggesting that George Washinton was apparently ignorant of his actions or that he just switched positions? Frankly, George wasn't an intellect in comparison to Jefferson. He was a general, whom was very much intellectually confined in comparison to his betters; and whom ironically supported a man (ie Hamilton) that shaped the very opposite of what the majority of the Revolutionaries fought for. None of the founders were without flaw, especially in the topic of slavery. Are we to assume the many quote Washinton spoke about religious freedom were BS or that he was an underground bigot when it came to Jews? Or perhaps he was for free practice of religion, but he was weary of anyone that did harm to this country....I believe that's a reasonable accessement . I get a sense that you blanket all Jews as this evil thing, when it may be an easier conclusion to believe that almost every group has people that have done wrong. Is it wrong not to look at individuals and classify them as wrong or right, rather than give a broad generalization of a people? Your *view* looks similiar to a view of a black individual whom thinks all white people are evil. It just seems a little silly. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Some George Washinton Quotes: "It is an old adage, that 'honesty is the best policy'. This applies to public as well as private life, to States as well as individuals.---To James Madison, 1785 "Every man conducting himself as a GOOD citizen, and being accountable to God alone for his religious opinions, ought to be protected in worshiping the Deity according to the dicates of his own conscience...."---1789 "For happily the government of the United States, which give to bigotry no sanction, to persecution no assistance, requires only that those who live under it's protection should demean themselves as good citizens, in giving it, on all occasions, their effectual support..."---To the Hebrew Congregation, 1790 On the other hand, as far as lies in your power, you are to protect and suppport the free excercise of religion of the country, and undisturbed enjoyment of the rights of consciencce in religious matters, with your utmost influence and authority.-- 1775
*It was Hamilton that suggested making a national bank, which Jefferson hotly contested. Hamilitons goal, as spoken below was to create one national debt, and to create an institution that financed the goverment. Washington eventually supported Hamilton. This sort of philosophy did more to create a debt-loving America than anything. Hell, it's the very foundation of our overspending government. You seem to blame the Jews by the words of our founders, but it's the very support of some of our founders that led to centralization...not the other way around. Ultimately Hamiltons party failed and Jefferson's Revolution took control for sometime. It took the invasion of socialism idealogy in America (ie the shift in the democratic party), and the incoming war to bring back the final idealism of Hamilton. It really comes more down to ideas and principle rather than an 'evil' sect in society. ----------------------------------------------------------------- The National Debt after the American Revolution fell into three categories. The first was the $11 million owed to foreigners- mostly debts to France that totaled up during the American Revolution. The second and third--roughly $24 million each--were debts owed by the national and state governments to American citizens who had supplied food, arms, and other resources for the revolutionary war. Congress agreed that the power and the ability of the new government after the war would pay for the foreign debts. There was also other debts that cosisted of notes issued during the Revolutionary war to soldiers, merchants, and farmers who had heard about how the new Constitution would create a government that was likely to pay off the debts of the Revolutionary war. When this was heard, speculators tried to buy up all the notes that they could find. By 1790, the government debt was in the hands of the businessman and speculators who had bought the notes 10 to 30 percent of their original price. The Revolutionary War Debts of the individual states were another source of a problem. The Nationalists wanted to assume the debts of the states as part of the national debt. This would create the need for taxation. In 1790, Hamilton urged Congress to combine the state debts with the foreign and domestic debts into one national debt. This way a funding plan could be created to pay it off.
