I pulled open YOYOs post (on ignore) and he mentioned the flat earth comment. Funny thing is the scientist somehow believed that, even though there were a number who never did, there is a really old book that mentions that the earth is round that has been around before the scientific fact of the flat earth came up..... maybe it is just a turtles back. LOLOLOLOL get up to speed flat earth man yoyo...

I'm concerned about the fish, the rising water levels and increased ocean temps are killing coral reefs

Of course they did not, as we all know. But "scientific experts" were sufficiently convinced that we were declining into a new ice age that Newsweek published the story on the front page (1975, give or take a year).

I'm not debating the merits of the global warming/cooling debate. I'm just pointing out that anyone can assemble enough "experts" to prove just about any point they want to prove. There are Ph.D. scientists on both sides of the cooling/warming debate. I doubt that this forum will decide the issue. But it sure does stimulate some spirited discussion. :D

I really do not think there are any that have. I'm not sure the debate is about whether it exists, but whether or not it is a natural occurance, or caused by man. I tend to believe it is a natural occurance and that there is nothing I can do to affect the course in a positive or negatie light. I ceratainly still try though!

Where did you get that Christians aren't concerned about the environment?

I just don't know to many that are extremist about the environment - most people I know want to take care of the land, but also use it. Same with natural recourses. Not abuse or neglect it.... not very complex though is it. Use the land without abusing it.

BTW, ferret, you drive a big truck and run a boat. You use the environment, but are you abusing it? are you not disturbing sea life, putting toxins in the water and the air, using natural recourses?

Yup thats what the argument is about Mia.

If the global warming data is true its already too late and there is nothing that is going to stop massive climate change over the next 100 years.

Sorry I should have said TV Christians, I mean like vocal politcal Christian types.

I don't have big truck, I eat sea life pretty regularly, so I go bit farther then disturbing it. I don't think I put much toxins in the water, I have new engine, there are not any leaks or anything.
