It's probably safer to bring drugs through the border than through the coast. Given the coast is a bit more secure and force is a bit more available.

I'm wondering how much drugs go through sea vs go through the southern border....?

Apparently they'll be asked to resign, and perhaps face legal charges of perjury. Further information has demonstrated that this illegal alien drug smuggler confessed to plans of coming across the border and killing border agents...prior to be told he would get off for his crimes (which he did twice).

Bush better look-up on his PR list, because he has some representives going crazy over this...

While I understand there's a process to this... but Bush has got to understand that this requires a lot of attention (or atleast some), so he doesn't piss-off his constituency too much. Impeachment talk from a republican is not common.

I have a feeling Bush's admin knows about this, knew about it, and has been distancing themselves from it for some reason. Hopefully justice will be served to those that deserve it.

i understand that the cops shot an unarmed guy in the ass as he was running away, then picked up thier shell cases, didnt report a shooting as required, then went home as if nothing happend, and are now pissed that they are the ones in jail.
you just cant go around shooting people for nothing, and because you missed the target, cover up what happend, and think you'll get away with it.

if they had killed him, i bet they would have planted a gun to justify the shooting.

You assume this. These agents say they saw something they believed was a weapon.

Anyone running away from federal agents on a border...should be subject to lethal force (if the situation deemed reasonable). Often state police will open fire on subjects whom are running away. The security of our border is just as important, if not more.

This man was around a van. The van could have contained anything. Bombs, drugs, etc. They see this man and say that they believe they saw a gun and he started to running away. Given the situation of the van, and him running away, that's more than enough reason to shoot him in the ass.

Then again, this man CONFESSED that he was planning to come with his buddies across the border and shoot federal agents. But I suppose he's worth forgiving, and giving him the right to sue.

they think they seen something shinny, i understand the law in the usa states that you have to be sure it's a gun, and it has to be pointed at you or someone else, before you can shoot. and this guy never fired a shot at them, and was running to a van, he was not running around a van.

the courts can see it, the jury seen it. why cant you see it?

Ferret, I don't mind them going to jail for things they shouldn't do....but they have an obligation to do things like they did. I would have shot that man as well, and if we're to say we have a secure border, we must take reasonable measures.

Being the saw the van, and he was running away. I think that's more than enough to shoot him. If he had a dirty bomb in there, would the story be the same. No, they'd be heroes.

In essence it sends the wrong message. That if you secure our borders, you'll be sued by a man that proclaims he had plans on killing your buddies. That's not something a prosecutor should pursue and they have that chose. Now if I'm a prosecutor, I would convey my information to the border patrol, and they would be fired. I would not pursue legal events against them... because it would be ill-proportioned. The drug dealer is obviously more of a threat to the security and safety of American citizens. Hey, but that's me.

And in the states police officer can say 'stop or I'll shoot,' to a person whom is running away. You've never watched cops, I guess. On the border this is just as important to use.

If I was a border agent, and I saw a van in the middle of the border (which they did). Then I saw an individual, and they started to run away towards the van. Yes, I would warn them in Spanish and English, and then I would fire towards their legs if they didn't stop.

 

i think they are in the right place, if they only shot him in the ass, then they needed training to shoot straight, or needed something to stand to be the same hight as what they aim for
