Hello All, May be some of you already know this , but for those who dont know i would like to share the exact meaning of Burstable RAM. Burstable RAM is RAM your VPS has the ability to use but isn't guaranteed to. Basically it's for spikes in usage not consistent usage like Guaranteed RAM. You can check burstable RAM and Gauranteed RAM by using following command cat /proc/user_beancounters HTML: Privvmpages is burstable RAM, vmguarpages is guaranteed RAM Example : root@master [/]# cat /proc/user_beancounters Version: 2.5 uid resource held maxheld barrier limit failcnt 120: kmemsize 3892198 5363633 2147483646 2147483646 0 lockedpages 0 0 100 100 0 privvmpages 80216 98309 196608 196608 0 shmpages 91 763 131072 131072 0 dummy 0 0 0 0 0 numproc 68 100 100 100 4 physpages 26224 43519 0 2147483647 0 vmguarpages 0 0 131072 2147483647 0 oomguarpages 26224 43519 131072 2147483647 0 numtcpsock 23 30 800 800 0 numflock 9 14 100 100 0 numpty 1 1 50 50 0 numsiginfo 0 18 100 100 0 tcpsndbuf 205712 509808 107374592 110651392 0 tcprcvbuf 376832 526544 107374592 110651392 0 othersockbuf 32840 227984 107374592 110651392 0 dgramrcvbuf 0 31512 107374592 110651392 0 numothersock 26 51 800 800 0 dcachesize 0 0 921600 921600 0 numfile 1387 1875 2400 2400 0 dummy 0 0 0 0 0 dummy 0 0 0 0 0 dummy 0 0 0 0 0 numiptent 10 45 100 100 0 root@master [/]# HTML: Regards, Arun K ----------------------- http://www.eukvps.com Cheap & Reliable VPS Hosting
